Hosting Your Own Webinar

By marketingturnaround

Ever wondered what it’s like to host your own webinar? Ever wondered how a webinar could boost your business?

Webinars are quickly catching up with teleclasses as people’s favorite way to learn.  No commuting, no huge parking fees, no travel time.  Busy people like webinars because they can watch from the privacy of their home or office.  And while a webinar offers the added benefit of presentation visuals, neither students nor instructor can be seen, which means you can dress however you please!

I’ve been teaching webinars and teleseminars for some time now, and I love it.  There’s an incredible level of energy that comes with webinars, and it’s a great way for new people to get to know you and your service.

What keeps business owners from presenting webinars to reach prospective new clients?

Fear.  Fear of the unknown.  Fear of technology.  Fear of making a mistake.

This is the year to say phooey to fear.  Webinars are a great outreach for your business, and an important part of your marketing plan.  Even better, webinars provide all of the benefit of in-person special events without the risk of hotel arrangements and the cost of catering.

Good webinars don’t just happen.  They require careful planning, and although tools to provide webinars get easier to use every day, it does take some familiarity to host a good event.

Tip:  Think of all the reasons your prospects would benefit from attending a webinar on your area of expertise.  Think of all the ways you can save them time, effort, risk and money if they could only benefit from what you have to share.  Is your list enough to motivate them to come?  Is it enough to motivate you to overcome your fear and wade into webinars?
